How to handle it: This is actually a good thing. You get the opportunity to develop your skills at a very rapid pace. So keep a cool head, discuss with friends and other programmers and just learn. All these skills are actually very easy, once you know them, so just learn them - In these companies, there is no job security. Actually there is no job security in any company anywhere. But in these companies, if you do not work as per the expectation of the company, they do not have the budget or time to work with you. A bad programmer not only wastes the time and money on the project he or she is working, he/she also creates a bad reputation of the company for the client with whom you are working.
How to handle it: Just work sincerely, keep your self updated and if you are facing problem in the company, discuss with your seniors before it is too late. - Conversely, in these companies you can grow very fast. Since these are small teams, each persons good performance also gets noticed very fast. If you perform well, you will get additional responsibilities and faster increments in salary.
- Sometimes you will get the opportunity to communicate directly with the clients. This is a very important task and interacting directly with the clients and understanding their problems gives you a lot of experience and expertize of the client’s business.
This usually makes you a much better programmer.
How to deal with it: You must have good English to get this position. So if your English is weak, it will help if you master this language also (apart from PHP) - These companies invest a lot of time and money in your training and updating your skills. They expect you to work with them for at least one year. So do not be afraid if they ask for bond of one year or something like that.
How to handle it: Actually it is good for your career if you do not switch jobs very frequently. If you change jobs every six months, the next company will think that you will leave them also very fast and that reduces your chances of getting that job. - The good thing with these companies is that they do not have the budget to hire very experienced programmers. So freshers and new programmers have a very good chance of getting a job there.
How to handle it: Just make sure that have the necessary skills. Getting a job becomes very easy. - These companies usually do not have a lot of levels. You get the opportunity to interact with and work with the bosses and senior programmers directly.
The advantage of this is that you get to work with and learn from some of the best people in the industry. - These companies in Indore are more personal in nature. They are not big corporates. This is seen in the kind of offices they have, the kind of HR Policies they have and so on. It means that if you have good terms with the people in these companies, they will usually go out of the way to help you.
Bad thing is that if you are not good with your team mates, you will have a tough time. So personal skills are equally important here.
The idea is that these companies are a great place to start your career. Spend one or two years with these companies and you will have extensive knowledge and experience to work in some of the best companies across the globe.
